Getting Paid for your Pet Blog

The next step is to get advertisers for your blog. The easiest way is to sign up with one of the many website advertising services. The best part of all is they are free.

There are basically two types of web advertising services: Content driven Pay-Per_click Advertising and affiliate advertising.

Content Driven Pay-Per Click Advertising

There are a few PPC services, the largest and most notable is Google Adsense. With Google Adsense you must first have a content rich website or blog. Once your site has some content you apply to Google Adsense at www.google.com/adsense/. Read the Terms & Conditions and Program Policies before submitting an application. If your site is not in compliance, change the site to meet the terms first.

Within a few days you will be notified of acceptance. You can then generate the code for the contextual ads to appear. Everytime a visitor clicks on an advertisement, you get paid. Cool! HUH?

Why Google Adsense and not the other programs?
